One of the most prestigious cigars introduced at the 20th edition of the Habanos Festival was the Romeo y Julieta Grand Churchill. The Churchill, perhaps the brand’s most historic vitola, has been chosen for this unique production with an unprecedented vitola for the brand, Grand Churchill’s 2018 (56 ring gauge X 190 mm).
The renowned Parisian craft workshop Elie Bleu and Jean-Philippe Martin have come together again, as they did with the Cohiba 50 anniversary humidor design, to create this work of art.
The Gran Alianza humidor design perfectly reflects the brand’s spirit, combining simplicity and beauty through its classic lines. An inspiration of the Renaissance architecture and furniture that might have served as the backdrop to the lives of those famous lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Its double arch, shaped as a treasure chest, invites you to explore its interior.
The true treasure, which is found within this chest, is majestically displayed on the curved tray of the inner arch. A unique system of hollow trays, never before used in a humidor, allows the even circulation of humidity in the interior for the optimum conservation of the Habanos.
This magnificent chest encloses a unique treasure produced exclusively for the 20th Habanos Festival.
This Gran Habano is adorned with exclusive labels and bands designed for the occasion.
The bands are gold, with a red oval center encircled in white containing the “Romeo y Julieta Habana Cuba” text. To better conserve and protect the quality, the underside of these Habanos is covered with golden paper that also adds to the beauty and exclusivity. The golden wrapping gives them a similar look as the Bolivar Gold Medal and Cuaba Biarray releases.
Twenty of the Grand Churchill cigars were included in the Romeo Y Julieta humidor that was sold at the famous auction during the closing Gala dinner.
